Similar to how SieMatic has improved kitchen design and ergonomics ever since it introduced the world’s first handle-free kitchen in 1960 up until the present, Chef Chele’s exceptional creations in the kitchen have paved the way and raised the standards of fine dining in the Philippines. His dedication to improving and pushing the boundaries of his craft makes him the perfect partner in celebrating the inspired and innovative design of the SLX kitchen. 

Chef Chele developed an exclusive tasting menu for SieMatic SLX inspired by its four key concepts: Weightlessness, Light, Feel, and Transparency.

  1. WEIGHTLESSNESS

Floating Foie Gras Pâté topped with Blackberry Coulis served with Brioche Toast and Mixed Berry Jam

Inspired by the weightless drawers & countertop of the SLX kitchen, Chef Chele developed a light and airy foie gras dish that’s served in a double-walled glass to achieve an illusion of suspension.

  • Drawers & pull-outs are mounted to the back panel of the glass cabinets to give off that floating effect. These drawers also feature perfectly mitred edges that appear practically seamless when it’s closed: a true presentation of how well every single detail of the kitchen is thought out. 
  • The SLX island countertop follows the delicate proportion of 6.5mm, making it 5x thinner than the standard countertop thickness in the industry. The countertop is also illuminated from underneath to enhance the illusion of suspension.
  • LIGHT
    Grilled Tenderloin on Parmesan Mashed Potatoes with Choice of Two Sauces and Two Shavings: Beef Jus & Parmesan and Béarnaise & Truffles

Chef Chele gives two completely different experiences from the same Grilled Tenderloin dish by creating varying flavor profiles: The beef jus with parmesan gives it a darker, saltier profile, while the béarnaise with truffle shavings offers a tart, buttery flavor.

  • Light in the SLX kitchen used to emphasize the kitchen’s balanced proportions and sleek lines. Its temperature and brightness can also be controlled individually, allowing its users to experience a different atmosphere in the kitchen with a slight adjustment of its light settings.  It can be dimmer for a more dramatic feel and brighter for a more vibrant mood.
  • FEEL

Chocolate Bonbons with Coco Sugar Caramel Filling

Chef Chele’s chocolate bonbons mirror the ribbed design of the recessed grip to echo the feel and texture of the recessed grip. Inside these delicate chocolate pieces is a gooey coco sugar caramel filling inspired by the golden color of this kitchen element.

  • The SLX recessed grip was completely redesigned to have the perfect angle in terms of aesthetic and ergonomics. It is ribbed and concave in design for an incredible haptic experience.
  • TRANSPARENCY
    Apple Tart with Caramelized Apples, Hazelnut and Cinnamon Custard

Chef Chele Gonzalez reimagines the classic apple tart to create a dish that resembles the transparency of the SLX three-panel glass cabinets.

  • With transparent doors and panels, and minimal frames, the SLX glass cabinets are a showstopper in any room and can seamlessly link the kitchen to the living room and lend additional weightlessness to the entire space.

Chef Chele has taken these classic dishes and found a way to elevate them and present them in a new light—just like how SieMatic has challenged itself, taking the concept of minimalist and sophisticated design to the next level with the Pure SLX Kitchen.
