Chitz cites interior designer Kelly Hoppen’s work with neutrals as a source of inspiration in designing the unit. The custom-built bench in the dining space provides extra storage. “We went with chartreuse to give the space a pop of color that is compatible with neutral palette.” When coming up with the unit’s design, Chitz picked up on the use of bronze, gold, and neutral elements across the shared areas of the building. The designer explains that the design concepts for rentals should not be gender-biased. It should be built on neutrals and attractive for both local and foreign tenants. Interior designer Yvette Valenzuela whom Chitz worked with under architect Conrad Onglao also helped style and accessorize the unit. He added earthly elements that broke the dominant straight lines across the unit. In the bedroom, intricate patterns on the wood panel behind the bed add a subtle touch of soft texture, while the champagne tone gives the room a soft ambience.
