BluPrint announces the next installment of its “Ask the Experts” series at College of St. Benilde (CSB) School of Environment and Design. This initiative connects architecture and design students with leading industry professionals in the Philippines. Aimed at fostering meaningful connections between future architects and seasoned professionals, this series provides architecture students with practical knowledge and invaluable career insights from respected names in the field.

This event will be held on October 4, 2024, at the 5th Floor Theater, Design & Arts Campus. It offers students a rare opportunity to learn from three of the country’s top architects, Cathy Saldaña and Sudarshan Khadka Jr., and Joey Yupangco.

Featured Experts

Cathy Saldaña, President, CEO, and Founder of PDP Architects, is an award-winning architect. Renowned for her work in island and resort development, her broad portfolio also includes commercial and mixed-use buildings. Her creative approach blends contemporary, modern-tropical, mid-century, and industrial styles. Influenced by her father, an engineer in public housing, Saldaña studied architecture at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. Her distinct body of work emphasizes environmental conservation and storytelling in design.

Khadka’s career took the global spotlight when LVLP won at the 2017 World Architectural Festival in Berlin. He also co-curated the Structures of Mutual Support, which gained global recognition at the 2021 Venice Architecture Biennale. The project fused the bayanihan spirit and the Filipino concept of maaliwalas. His work continues to push the boundaries of Filipino architecture.
