not easy. Luckily, there are many ways to save up space with different renovation tricks while achieving a look that’s also appealing. Interior designer duo Trisca Dela Paz and Tricia Pabellano of Triptych + Co show us through this spacious condo. Owned by retired couple Ric and Luisa Santiago, this industrial-contemporary unit was initially created for rental for friends and occasionally Airbnb. Ric and Luisa used to live in a spacious condo, it was a 1000-squaremeter unit to be specific. They opted to downsize to condo dwelling as their children have migrated abroad. Triptych + Co were the same designers for their previous unit, so they contacted the same team for this spacious condo.

“I just wanted a simple design, nothing loud. We just want it humble but with good lighting and nice kitchen. With our shared input, the designers were able to give us what we wanted,” shares owner Ric Santiago.

To fulfill the couple’s wishlist, Triptych + Co incorporated contemporary yet versatile design style to cater to a broad range of possible renters and visitors. With touches of modern furniture pieces and industrial wooden materials, the space appeals to the taste of both old and young. The glass divider does a great job at dividing the spaces minus the visual heaviness of an actual wall. “We feel that the glass and metal divider is its standout feature. Considering we didn’t reconfigure the unit layout, the divider makes the unit look different and unique,” shares Triptych + Co designers. In the kitchen, there is storage from the floor to the ceilings. The mini breakfast nook even has extra storage overhead! Although it’s basic, the use of light blue and green colors provides a soothing mood.
