Carlo Calma will have exactly 10 minutes to present his project, the Infinity House in a live ‘crit’ by a jury of three before a live audience. After his presentation, Calma will have another eight minutes to defend his project by answering questions from members of the jury. When his eight minutes are done, the next presenter will have two minutes to prep for his turn at the podium, where he will go through the same process as Calma.

All in all, the jury for the Future Projects – House category will hold 15 crits with contenders from Australia, Canada, India, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, and Thailand. (The jurors’ names will be announced in November.)

During the first two days of the three-day festival in Amsterdam this 4-6 December, 33 juries will be judging 534 finalists, which were shortlisted out of the thousands of entries submitted to the WAF in April to June this year. The category winners will then compete on the third day of the festival for one of the following awards: Building of the Year, Small Project of the Year, Future Project of the Year, and Landscape of the Year.
