Bahay na Bato

Literally “house of stone,” a Filipino colonial house type with a masonry ground floor and a wooden upper floor. It evolved from the bahay kubo during the Spanish era, featuring wide capiz windows, ventanillas, and deep eaves suited to the tropical climate and frequent earthquakes.
