Last May 3 2018, the International Interior Design Association in partnership with Hospitality Design magazine, held the 22nd IIDA/HD Product Design Competition Awards. Held annually, the design competition awards the best products for hospitality design, from textiles to lighting to accessories. This 2018, Kenneth Cobonpue’s Peacock Easy Chair is hailed as the best seating for the Individual Seating Lounge category.

The 2018 judging panel included Chris Evans, senior associate with Rottet Studio; Michelle Reichert of MGM Resorts International; and Antunovich Associates senior principal and director of interior design Patricia Rotondo, IIDA. According to the IIDA and HD’s official statement, the winners are chosen based on “technical advancements, cost efficiency, environmental consciousness, aesthetics, client-user benefits, and need and usage in the hospitality industry.
“Beautiful in iridescent green and blue, Peacock is a modern take on the traditional wicker chair. Like the regal bird, this lounge chair truly stands out among the flock.” Kenneth Cobonpue on the chair.
