How ENDO’s SYNCA Architectural Lighting Syncs with Life Itself
Light is no longer a static utility; it is a dynamic, primary architectural material. More than just revealing form and texture, it has the profound ability to influence mood, sharpen focus, and support our well-being. This was the powerful thesis demonstrated by SYNCA in an immersive dinner experience presented by ENDO Lighting and Metal-lite, in partnership with BluPrint. Held at the Medusa Supper Club, the event gathered the country’s leading architects and designers to witness a paradigm shift in illumination: a system that harmonizes our built environments with our natural biological rhythms.

The evening treated guests as participants in a sensory journey through experiential design. Representing the partnership were Yusuke Goto, ENDO Lighting’s General Manager for Thailand and Philippines, and Jam Cua, Creative Director of Metal-lite, the exclusive distributor of ENDO in the country.

They welcomed an audience that included renowned architects like Ed Calma, Anthony Nazareno, and Jason Buensalido—professionals who already specify ENDO for its quality and innovative technology, making them the perfect arbiters for this next evolution.
Light in Tune with Nature

With a legacy of innovation stretching back to 1967, ENDO Lighting has long been at the forefront of the industry, trusted to illuminate landmark spaces from Bangkok to the Philippines. Their latest advancement, SYNCA, addresses a fundamental challenge of modern life: the disconnect between static indoor lighting and our innate biological needs.

Every person operates on an internal clock known as the circadian rhythm, a 24-hour cycle that governs our patterns of wakefulness, focus, and rest. This rhythm is primarily set by light. However, with most people spending up to 90% of their lives indoors, we are often deprived of the natural, dynamic light that our bodies evolved with. The result is a disruption that can affect everything from sleep quality to productivity.

ENDO’s SYNCA technology is a direct response to this challenge. It is an advanced circadian lighting system designed to mirror the natural shifts of daylight within an architectural space. By allowing for independent control of brightness (from 1% to 100%) and an exceptionally wide range of color temperatures (from a warm 1800K amber to a cool 12000K blue), SYNCA gives designers the tools to craft environments that actively support human well-being. It can replicate the energizing, cool light of morning, the balanced light of midday, and the warm, calming tones of evening, bringing the rhythm of nature back into our lives.
A Sensory Journey from Dawn to Moonlight

Under the guidance of host Nicole Anderson, guests were taken on an experiential journey that mapped the passage of a full day onto a five-course dinner. Each phase, from the awakening light of “Dawn” to the serene glow of “Moonlight,” was paired with a corresponding culinary creation and a meticulously programmed lighting scene from ENDO’s SYNCA system. The Medusa Supper Club, itself equipped with SYNCA, became a living canvas, transforming its ambiance to prove a singular point: that the right light, at the right time, is a fundamental component of human experience.

Dawn: Awaken
The evening began as the day does. A cool and clear 4200K Neutral Daylight washed over the room, easing the senses into awareness and preparing them for the day ahead. The light was designed to mimic the energizing quality of the morning sun.

Noon: Center
As the event progressed, the atmosphere shifted to the balanced, bright light of midday. At 5000K Daylight White, the illumination sharpened focus and fueled productivity, creating a sense of clarity and momentum perfectly suited for peak performance.

Sunset & Supper: Unwind and Savor
The event’s most insightful moment came with the transition to evening. Anderson explained the science behind the experience: the circadian rhythm, our internal 24-hour clock that light so powerfully influences. The challenge, she noted, is that we spend nearly 90% of our lives indoors, disconnected from nature’s rhythm. SYNCA was introduced as the solution—a system that mirrors natural light’s daily shifts. A 1800K Amber glow created a soft, calming transition for sunset, which deepened into an intimate 2700K Warm Incandescent for supper, fostering a sense of connection and shared experience.

Moonlight: Drift
The journey concluded under a dreamlike 12000K Cool Blue wash. This final phase was designed to be serene and calm, preparing the body for rest and restoration.
A New Standard for Human-Centric Design
The evening culminated in a toast led by BluPrint’s Editor-in-Chief, Geewel Fuster. She crystallized the night’s takeaway, stating, “Illumination is a primary architectural material, as fundamental as form or texture.” Fuster praised the SYNCA philosophy for resonating with BluPrint’s mission to champion intentional, human-centric design, calling it the kind of thoughtful innovation that moves the industry forward.

Raising a glass, she toasted to “the continued pursuit of design that enriches human experience,” a fitting end to an evening that did not merely present a product, but demonstrated a new philosophy. For the architects and designers in attendance, the message was clear: the future of lighting is not about how brightly we can illuminate a space, but how intelligently we can sync it with the lives lived within.
