BluPrint, the leader in modern Filipino architecture and design, recently launched its latest coffee table book, Architecture of Silence. This event, held at the prestigious Yuchengco Museum in RCBC Plaza, welcomed VIPs from the architecture and interior design industry. They came together to unveil a book that sets new standards in design and innovation across the Philippines.

It was an intimate gathering comprised of the homeowners, architects, and designers featured in the book, as well as members of the BluPrint team. Also in attendance were the who’s who of the Philippines’ design community, including furniture designer Milo Naval and artist Ramon Orlina.

BluPrint’s partners, Wilcon Depot and Furnitalia, set up their own displays at the event, offering guests a chance to take photos with their products.

A Message From Our Editor in Chief

BluPrint Editor in Chief, Architect Geewel Fuster, welcomes guests.

Among the evening’s highlights was a speech by Architect Geewel Fuster, BluPrint’s Editor-in-Chief. She shared the inspiration behind Architecture of Silence, emphasizing its philosophy: “Silence, precisely because of its precious rarity, ‘saturated with significance more than a disrupted context’, embracing advantaged situations or occasional noble moments of spirituality, represents a stimulating definition to deepen in the architectural language.”

The new book features 18 exceptional projects across the Philippines. From busy cities to quiet nature retreats, these projects showcase a mix of cultural influences and contemporary design. The book captures the essence of quiet and serene homes, each with a story that invites calm and reflection.

This launch also marked BluPrint’s return to print after a focus on digital presence since 2019. Architecture of Silence is a visual journey of form and function, exploring culture, tradition, and innovation in Philippine design. It appeals to architecture lovers, design enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates the beauty of built environments.

Print is Back!

Jason Buensalido, one of the architects featured in the book, confidently declared, “Print is back!”

“We’re so proud and honored to be a part of the book,” states Ar. Pierre Briones of BrioArch. “We’re really happy to share the story of our project.”

Asked about how he would sum up the concept of the book, “It’s really all about peace,” shared Architect Royal Pineda, whose project “Mushroom House”, is also featured. “You can see how nature really resonates in this project.”
