Iconic Tower is among Collaborative’s key projects of the decade

Unlike usual reports, Collaborative Architecture’s decade wrap-up was not just about finished projects. “While we are extremely proud of the key moments and milestones achieved in the duration, some of our best efforts are in the realm of unbuilt projects and competitions,” says Collaborative. 

In 2017, Collaborative teamed up Jurgen Mayer Architects, which allowed both firms to get shortlisted in a highly prestigious, 2-stage international competition for the BCDA Iconic Tower in Manila, Philippines.

The BCDA Iconic Building is a proposed skyscraper at Bonifacio Global City
The Urban Park intends to house one of the most important collections of public art by renowned local and international artists making it a cultural destination of national importance

Another notable entry was for the 2-stage, International competition for Kennedy Center-Israeli Lounge, Washington DC, USA. The studio was one of the 5 finalists who reached the final stage of this highly unusual program in an iconic building and context.

 Below is a list of Collaborative’s awarded projects:

Stacked Tectonics- JDT Primary School, Kerala, India

STACKED TECTONICS JDT Islam Primary Shcool was finished for an Orphanage in a Rural Village in South India in 2012
The project secured Honorable Mention in the international competition by SEED Award It also got a host of other national awards including NDTV Grohe for Socially Responsible Architecture

Mezban – Inverted Topography, Calicut, India

Collaborative Architectures Inverted Topography also got shortlisted as a finalist in the 2011 Restaurant Bar Design Awards Society for British Interior Designer SBDI International Award This project also secured the first IES Illumination Engineering Society Award in the Section Award category

Wedge-1 Mumbai, India

In 2011 WEDGE 1<strong> <strong>a prototype retail format for a homegrown lifestyle brand Stanley Lifestyles Bangalore was chosen as the finalist in the FX International Interior Award
Collaborative also got awarded a 1st prize for WEDGE 1 in AI Architecture Israel international competition chaired by Moshe Shafdi

Reflected Topography, Bangalore, India

In 2015 Reflected Topography received two IES awards a Section and a Merit award for the innovative lighting design The project also won the 1st Prize in Best Office Moscow 2016 and was a 2015 IDA International Design Award finalist
