Last November 2017, Dyson Philippines opened their demo store in SM Aura Premier. This store joins their roster of demo stores alongside the pioneer demo store in Greenbelt 5, Makati City and the upcoming store in Podium, Ortigas Center.
It is no secret that the brand’s products are up there, in terms of design, function, and sadly, price. Some might find the products unreachable, especially since you’ll be using the vacuum to clean your bed or rug every now and then. However, that’s what the Demo Stores aim to cater to. The demo stores encourages people to interact with the products, so you know what you’re paying for. The first concept store of Dyson came about in 1999 back in Paris. The main reason for opening the store was to get people to understand how the advanced machines work, and for consumers to realize why Dyson is, indeed, better than other products.
According to Jim Roovers, Dyson’s Head of Department:
“It is critical for people to be able to test and experience our technology, so they can understand how it works. This space is designed with that in mind. For instance, you can pick-up our cord-free machines, pull them apart, and thoroughly test them on our test tracks with various dust samples.”
The stores have a number of products available in the demo store, from their iconic V8 cord-free vacuums, the Pure Cool Link™ purifying fan (the electric fan that has no blades), and the newly released Supersonic™ hair dryer!
Believe it or not, you can actually have your hair blow dried in store! There’s two styling stations for people to test and experience the Supersonic hair dryer first-hand. In-house experts will explain how the product works, the technology inside, and offer styling advice.
