His works are deeply inspired by his travels, from Benin to Mexico and Bhutan. His one man show held at White Space, places a special focus on the Philippines. Here, Godin encourages viewers to interpret his art through their own imaginations, without being limited to specific motifs or subjects. His pieces reflect a blend of universality. He incorporates influences from Chinese and Celtic cultures, natural elements, and the close relationship both Brittany and Filipino people share with nature.
Highlighting nearly 100 works, the exhibition explores Philippine culture, mythology, and landscapes. Some of his pieces are inspired by the Sta. Ana church, the Cordilleran Ling-ling-o amulet, and the “Archipelago Flowers” emulating lava under the Taal volcano. All showcase Godin’s extensive study and admiration for the country.
