Reflecting the spirit of gift-giving, Crate and Barrel PH presented an elevated Christmas-inspired setup in front of their store.

A massive gift box carrying the brand’s signature black and white shades welcomed the guests right away. Inside of it was a cozy and festive vignette highlighting some of the shop’s beloved pieces to provide the perfect background for photos. The exterior walls served as a gratitude wall where everyone could leave their appreciation and fond memories with Crate and Barrel.

They also adorned the stage and every corner of the space with lighted Christmas trees and more gift boxes of varied sizes. And to make this gathering even more gratifying, the retail brand also indulged their stakeholders with exquisite hors d’oeuvres, signature cocktails, and a live saxophone performance.

Hosted by Ferdi Salvador, the program started with Crate and Barrel PH Vice President and Business Unit Head Steven Ticzon’s speech. He recalled how the brand’s early years selling their products in actual crates and barrels in a former elevator factory on Chicago’s Wells Street evolved into an internationally recognized houseware store.

“Here in the Philippines, our journey began in 2014, where we first opened our store in SM Megamall. Today, we have three stores and a thriving e-commerce presence. Crate and Barrel Philippines is proud to mark its 10th year anniversary. It has consistently become one of the top choices for consumers for home essentials across the Metro, Cebu, Pampanga, and beyond,” Ticzon continued.

The Pieces That Shaped Crate and Barrel PH

As they commemorate this historic milestone, Crate and Barrel PH revealed their five best-selling customer-picked items since the brand’s inception in the country.

Beyond furniture, they also named the distinct dinnerware that helped establish their stature in Philippine home goods. Among them is this dinnerware set, which Assistant Vice President of Merchandising Emsie Serra described as “the cornerstone of the brand since day one.” Selling through 90 percent annually, it continues to be Crate and Barrel PH’s strongest collection.

Lastly is this all-time classic with their tulip-shaped bowls. Thanks to their sophisticated look and incredible value, they have since solidified their place as another brand essential.

Serra explained how these special pieces serve as the backbone of Crate and Barrel PH’s business journey.

“Crate and Barrel is known for almost 70 percent of their core business, meaning these are the items that are repeated over a period of time because it remains to be like the strongest evergreens. Never has it been slowed down in terms of sales. So it’s actually the number one factor as to why items are being reported.”

Ticzon conveyed his appreciation to all who continue to trust Crate and Barrel as “a destination for modern and classic furniture and houseware.” This unwavering support from their team, partners, and community made it possible for the brand to launch the Crate Gives Back program, contributing to multiple charitable causes since 2015.

And to further amplify their positive impact on society, Crate and Barrel PH’s VP and BU Head proudly announced their DesignDesk service to make their clients’ shopping experience more enjoyable. It’s a new gift registry app where customers can easily create and share their wishlist. This new development will also be the platform where the brand expands their collection with fresh designs and collaborations that meet the modern mindset.
