Recognizing that maintaining this level of service requires adaptation and growth, the move to a newer and more strategic location was a crucial step. Modularity Home General Manager Brian Hontiveros shared that they wanted to move the brand’s new showroom to a more lively location. The Proscenium Retail Row at the Plaza, a lifestyle enclave in Rockwell Center, offered the dynamic environment they were seeking.

“We decided to move [Scavolini] to a more vibrant space,” Hontiveros mentions during his opening speech. “At the same time, there’s a performance arts theater that should open at the end of the year, which should be able to create a more creative culture.”

He also emphasized the advantage of the new showroom’s adjacency to SoFa Design Institute and another Modularity Home brand, Valcucine. This close proximity is anticipated to simplify the overseeing of both Italian furniture stores, as well as encourage more seamless collaborations.

Afterwards, the celebration continued inside the Valcucine showroom, where guests interacted over a refined selection of foods and drinks.

The Future Scavolini Showroom

For Hontiveros and his wife and President of Modularity Home, Bettina, Scavolini holds special significance as the first home brand they chose to invest in. This deep personal connection fuels their vision for its presentation to be nothing short of exceptional.

To showcase it in a fresh and captivating light, they entrusted 50/53 Architects to reimagine the showroom experience. The interior design will revolve around the concept of “unboxing,” where every niche will feel like opening a new product.

Pauline Sac of 50/53 described the design intention to be immersive, allowing the customers to imagine the spaces as their own. She states, “Each kitchen would have its own theme. We [would] like to transport each client and designer to like, ‘Oh, this can be my kitchen.’ We want them to feel that they’re exactly in their house or in their villa and feel that they’re actually trying [the models] out.”

Furthermore, Modularity Home hinted that Scavolini will feature four varied kitchen models and five different bathroom systems. All of which, as Hontiveros disclosed, will be rotated periodically.

“They  [50/53 Architects] created  the  space  wherein  we  can  actually  swap  out  kitchen [and bathroom models] now  and  then,” the Modularity Home general manager says. “So, it’s  basically  like  an  unboxing  experience  as  you  enter  from  one  room  to  another.”

Among them is Architect Jorge Yulo, who expressed his long-standing appreciation for the Italian brand’s adaptable innovation. He expresses, “I like Scavolini because of the versatility they have in their creativity. And yet they still manage to come up as being minimalist, which is good for my architecture because it highlights the architecture, but Scavolini is there.”

Architect Anthony Nazareno similarly echoed this sentiment, highlighting how the brand’s minimalist aesthetic translates his design visions. “I’ve gotten myself drawn a lot to working with Scavolini because they manage to interpret my designs properly with their clean lines and really wide range of finishes. So, it’s not very difficult for me to work with them and convince my clients to work with them hand-in-hand for any and all of my residential works.”

Gaga Design House Principal Architect Miguel Garcia additionally disclosed that they are “very curious about what the showroom has to offer.” Even in Scavolini’s previous location, he noted that there were elements that remained unfamiliar and intriguing. This further fuelled excitement to discover what the new showroom will unveil. In addition, the architect explained that, like many in the field, they are constantly on the lookout for designs that are new, different, flexible, and established for a long period of time.

With the announcement of its new showroom, the design community is looking forward to experiencing firsthand what new innovations, inspirations, and elevated offerings Scavolini will bring.
