Ashton Marks 30 Years in the Philippines with the Launch of the Sensa by Cosentino Collection
Recommended Video
For three decades, Ashton has been a steady presence in the Philippine architecture and design landscape—supplying premium global products, supporting landmark developments, and building long-standing relationships with architects and designers.
In celebration of its 30th year in the Philippines, Ashton partnered with BluPrint for a media collaboration that was both retrospective and forward-looking: honoring its legacy while officially launching the new Sensa collection from Cosentino, a global leader in stone and surfacing materials. The collection features premium protected natural stone surfaces designed for durability and design performance.
30 Years of Ashton: A Legacy of Craft and Collaboration
Founded in 1995, Ashton has grown alongside the Philippine design and construction industry, supporting the broader design community with premium global products from Spain and decades of technical expertise.
Over the years, Ashton has worked on a number of prominent projects that reflect its fabrication and installation capabilities. Across residential, hospitality, and high-end mixed-use developments, the company has contributed materials and solutions that meet the demands of scale, precision, and long-term performance.
This commitment to quality is reflected in its flagship showroom at Inoza Tower, 40th Street, Bonifacio Global City (BGC), where its portfolio of premium global products is curated for the Philippine market. The space serves as both display and working showroom—where design conversations move from concept to specification.
Official Launch: Sensa by Cosentino
At the heart of the celebration was the Philippine launch of Sensa by Cosentino, a global leader in stone and surfacing materials from Spain—a premium natural stone surface that redefines expectations of granite and quartzite.

Unlike conventional natural stone that requires periodic resealing, Sensa features Senguard protection, a proprietary stain-resistant treatment integrated into the stone at a molecular level during manufacturing. Rather than functioning as a topical surface sealer, the protection is integrated during manufacturing and chemically bonds with the material while allowing it to breathe.
The result is maintenance-free natural stone and quartzite that resists stains from water, oil, coffee, and other everyday substances—without compromising the authenticity of the stone.
This makes Sensa particularly suited for:
– High-traffic kitchen countertops and islands
– Interior wall cladding and statement features
– Bathroom vanities and wet areas
– Custom furniture and bespoke design applications

By combining natural beauty with long-term performance, Sensa bridges the demands of tropical climates and contemporary design expectations—offering architects and designers a material that performs as beautifully as it presents.
Beyond Sensa, Ashton’s portfolio also includes other premium global surface materials. Dekton by Cosentino is an ultra-compact surface engineered for countertops, flooring, and wall cladding—valued for its durability as well as its resistance to scratches, stains, heat, and UV exposure. Silestone, meanwhile, is a low-silica hybrid mineral surface composed of premium minerals and recycled materials. Developed using Cosentino’s Hybriq+® technology, it reduces crystalline silica content while delivering a high-performance surface designed to create innovative spaces that endure over time.
Industry Response
The launch brought together leading figures from architecture and interiors, reinforcing Ashton’s role as a long-standing partner to the design industry.
Anthony Nazareno, Principal Architect, Nazareno Architecture + Design, shared:
“I’ve just had a good relationship with the team of Ashton and seeing the line of stone that [Ashton has] excites me very much because natural stone is something I’ve used a lot so [I’m] very happy about that.”
Earl Bello, Principal Architect, FORENHEIT Studio / Architecture, noted the distinct character of the materials:
“Everything’s quite unique like the Black Beauty and Orinoco, something that all designers would love to use in their projects.”
Cecil Ravelas, Founder of Red Interior Design and National President, Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID), emphasized the narrative quality of the material:
“It’s actually amazing, the way it’s presented, and the way it’s treated—if you use it for a facade or for an interior wall, it already brings out the story of the space.”
Their reflections underscored what has defined Ashton for three decades: reliability on site, material excellence, and products that respond to both technical demands and design intent.
An Evening with the Design Community
The gathering brought together leading architects, interior designers, and industry partners. Among the attendees were Cosentino Regional Director for Asia Pablo Abad Gomez, Cosentino GM for SEA Distributors Eggy Santoso, Vice President of Ashton Jennifer Sy, Spanish Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Miguel Utray Delgado, Trade Advisor of the Economic and Commercial Office, Embassy of Spain, Mr. Alejandro Cantarero, Nazareno Architecture + Design Principal Architect Anthony Nazareno, Ar. Cathy Saldana, PIID National President Cecil Navares, PIID Board Member Nina Sta. Maria, and socialite Tessa Prieto.
