BluPrint is excited to announce its “Ask the Experts” series, an initiative designed to connect architecture students with industry professionals in the Philippines. Held at leading universities with strong architecture programs, this series underscores BluPrint’s dedication to fostering meaningful connections within the architecture and design community.

This year, for its inaugural 2024 event, “Ask the Experts” will partner with the College of Architecture and Design at Enderun during their annual CAD Week. This collaboration offers a rare chance for students to gain practical insights and experience from seasoned design professionals.

Urban Pulse: Designing Life into Cities

The event celebrates the theme “Urban Pulse: Designing Life into Cities,” focusing on revitalizing urban spaces with considerations for adaptive reuse, environmental sustainability, placemaking, wayfinding, and community engagement.

BluPrint and CAD offer a robust lineup of activities designed to provide students with practical and innovative insights into the fields of architecture, interior design, and multimedia arts. This includes talks by top professionals who will share their expertise on pertinent topics for emerging architects, interior designers, and creative media professionals.

The sessions aim to provide students with a deeper understanding of how design principles apply in real-world contexts, fostering both insight and inspiration. These interactions also offer a unique opportunity for students to explore various architectural and design specialties such as landscape architecture, interior design, and architectural photography, and speak with industry leaders, potentially paving the way for future opportunities.

BluPrint’s initiative at CAD Week is an exceptional platform for learning, connection, and inspiration, perfectly blending academic pursuits with professional insights in various creative fields.

What You Can Expect

The event will feature a notable group of speakers, starting with a representative from Palafox Associates, who will deliver the opening remarks. Interior Designer Rio Siasar, Senior Interior Designer at Aidea, will explore the topic of “Interior Design in the Urban Fabric.” Additionally, Jar Concengco, a freelance writer, photographer, and producer of YouTube channel “Design Will Save the World,” will share his insights on architecture photography in his talk, “Lessons on City Planning Through Photography.”
