Last November 26, the local design community gathered at Open Space in Makati for an immersive spatial experience. The event, Harmonious Spaces, served as the definitive reintroduction of AP Aluminum and Glass in a powerful reframing of their products. Instead of presenting aluminum and glass as mere architectural components, the evening showcased them as essential, refined elements that can seamlessly define contemporary interior design—a philosophy brilliantly articulated through thoughtful vignettes and the esteemed presence of the country’s design luminaries.
Rethinking the Role of the Modern Material
The core vision of Harmonious Spaces was to demonstrate AP Aluminum and Glass’s commitment to premium quality and form-meets-function design, positioning the brand as a partner for high-concept projects. This commitment is rooted in their ethos: continuous innovation by embracing new technologies and design trends to offer modern, energy-efficient, and stylish solutions that enhance comfort and value.
The exhibition space was less a showroom and more a series of meticulously curated environments. This strategic shift—from emphasizing product features to showcasing contextual application—was the evening’s key insight. AP’s belief in creating lasting relationships through exceptional service, quality products, and a deep commitment to ethical business practices was felt throughout the space, suggesting that every glass and window solution is a promise of excellence.

Integrated Design
To bring this vision to life, interior designer Veronica Audine collaborated with the brand to create a series of vignettes that are a case study in vernacular modernism. Audine’s custom cabinetry and a sophisticated kitchen island demonstrated how AP’s aluminum and glass can be integrated into residential furniture, moving beyond mere fenestration.
The display was completed by a masterful selection of material partners. Midcentury modern pieces sourced from Studio Yakal grounded the spaces in a distinctly Filipino aesthetic, while tile and wall paneling from Dexterton and elegant flooring from Pergo provided a luxurious, tactile backdrop. Even the lighting—3D-printed lamps from Hardware Museum and Mold—reflected a dedication to cutting-edge, yet artisanal, detail. The overall effect was a powerful narrative: refined aluminum and glass solutions are not disruptive to an aesthetic; they are the elegant, often unseen, mechanism that allows a sophisticated midcentury or contemporary design to function flawlessly.
A Confluence of Community and Cuisine
The night’s success was cemented by the attendance of pillars of the architectural and design community, including architects Bong Recio, Royal Pineda, Denise de Castro, and Kevin Nieves. Their presence underscored the event’s significance as a genuine space for professional connection and dialogue.

The immersive experience culminated in a sit-down dinner featuring a tasting menu from Sarsa, helmed by newly awarded one-star Michelin Chef JP Anglo. Serving an elevated take on classic Filipino dishes, the meal paralleled the event’s theme: taking a familiar element (bahay na bato materials or adobo) and refining it to a level of premium sophistication.
Harmonious Spaces was a definitive statement by AP Aluminum and Glass. By commissioning such a high-caliber design showcase, they revealed a refresh of their brand anchored in innovation and ethical excellence. They also provided the design community with a concrete example of how their refined solutions can be utilized to achieve true luxury interior design excellence in the Philippines.
