Centuries ago, Porac was Pampanga’s first established town, rich in Purac trees and fertile agricultural lands. However, the eruption of Mount Pinatubo reshaped the lush fields into stark barren terrain, leaving the community vulnerable. Despite the devastation, this tragedy became the bedrock for reinvention. Volcanic deposits raised the land, creating natural defenses against flooding, while human ingenuity and determination fortified it further with the construction of mega dikes.
