Capturing Movement and Realism

Limited Edition Batman by Lladró.
This limited edition Batman is one of 500, and is the only one in the Philippines.

Lladró continually explores new techniques and materials to keep its offerings fresh and captivating. One of the brand’s distinguishing features is its ability to capture movement and realism in porcelain. Andreu notes, “It’s not just that you are working in porcelain, it’s to be able to make it look real… all this movement… it’s very, very complicated.”

The attention to detail features black matte porcelain with glazed and matte finishes, accented with golden luster.

This dedication to innovation includes using 4000 colors and finishes like golden luster and matte porcelain. That complexity is evident in their latest limited Batman figurine. Celebrating the superhero’s 85th anniversary, it marks Lladró’s first interpretation of the iconic character. The collaboration with Warner Bros-Discovery Global Consumer Products features a detailed depiction of Batman, capturing his persona as Gotham City’s protector.

Lladró’s Sales Director for South Asia and Iberia, Roberto Marco Andreu, provided insights into the brand’s longstanding heritage.

Handcrafted in Lladró’s Valencia workshops, it showcases Batman in black matte porcelain with glazed and matte finishes, accented with golden luster. Limited to 500 units, the piece is designed by sculptor Eva Cuerva, known for her work in the Star Wars by Lladró collection. This Batman figure, complete with a dynamic pose and iconic costume details, appeals to both Batman fans and pop culture enthusiasts.
