Presented during Milano Design Week 2026 at Palazzo Gallarati Scotti, Poltrona Frau’s flagship store in Milan, the “True Over Time” Collection celebrates one of the brand’s most enduring values: authenticity. More than a matter of craftsmanship or material quality, durability is understood as a design’s ability to preserve its meaning over time, remaining relevant across generations, lifestyles and changing spaces.

The collection brings together creations designed to be lived in, inherited and reinterpreted, expressing a vision of contemporary luxury rooted in lasting value rather than immediacy. Through a balance of artisanal expertise, innovation and timeless aesthetics, “True Over Time” explores how design can evolve while remaining true to its essence.

As Nicola Coropulis, CEO of Poltrona Frau, explains: “With the 2026 collection, we want to emphasize the importance of authenticity, a philosophy that has guided every design and production decision at Poltrona Frau since 1912. We believe that design should endure, maintaining its essence. In an age dominated by immediacy, choosing something that lasts is an act of awareness.”

Contemporary Icons, Reimagined

At the heart of the collection are designs that demonstrate how timeless objects can evolve while remaining true to their original identity.

Among them is the expansion of the iconic Archibald family by Jean-Marie Massaud. Originally introduced in 2009 and now considered one of Poltrona Frau’s most recognizable contemporary icons, the collection grows with the introduction of the Archibald Sofa System, the Archibald Slim Dining Chair, and a new Presidential version of the Archibald Task Chair featuring a higher backrest and innovative Kristal Med® padding. Designed to enhance comfort and concentration throughout the day, the new chair bridges executive functionality and residential elegance.

Conceived as an invitation to slow down and reconnect with everyday wellbeing, Blisscape reflects Poltrona Frau’s vision of comfort as a lasting value, combining generous proportions, flexibility and refined craftsmanship.

Another significant evolution is represented by Infinitamente 2.0, Roberto Lazzeroni’s reinterpretation of the dining table originally introduced in previous collections. Enlarged to accommodate up to twelve people, the new version celebrates conviviality while showcasing sophisticated craftsmanship through helicoidal, beveled surfaces upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather using techniques derived from luxury automotive interiors.

Collectible Pieces Designed to Leave a Legacy

The concept of “True Over Time” is particularly evident in a selection of limited and special edition, collectible pieces that celebrate design as cultural heritage.

The Archibald Delicate Balance Armchair, produced in a limited edition of only 200 pieces worldwide, sees Jean-Marie Massaud’s iconic design transformed by renowned American artist Shepard Fairey. Through a specially created graphic upholstery, Fairey reinterprets themes of nature and environmental awareness through his unmistakable visual language.

Equally significant is the reissue of Albero, Gianfranco Frattini’s iconic bookcase originally conceived in the 1950s. Presented in the special GFF100 Edition, celebrating the designer’s centenary, Albero returns in precious Santos Rosewood and American Walnut Brown versions, reaffirming its status as a timeless icon while highlighting the beauty and longevity of natural materials.

Among the highlights are the edition of a previously unpublished lamp designed by Gio Ponti in 1956 for a residential project, the Gio Ponti Oro,  Atelier Oï’s Tullissè lamp with its distinctive Pelle Frau® leather-wrapped structure, Sebastian Herkner’s Nymph Air lamp and the ethereal Moonbeam collection by digital artist Six N. Five.

The accessories offering is further enriched by Yuki Nara’s Shiwa ceramic vases, the Chicware table accessories collection and new additions to the Traveller’s Collection, all conceived to complement interiors with the same attention to craftsmanship, materiality and enduring elegance.

Ultimately, the “True Over Time” Collection demonstrates that lasting design is defined not only by exceptional craftsmanship and material quality, but also by its ability to preserve meaning. Through a dialogue between heritage and innovation, Poltrona Frau creates pieces designed to accompany life over time—objects that become repositories of memories, gestures and personal stories, growing richer with every passing generation.
